Shadow Work Svādhyāya prompts

Shadow Work Svādhyāya

Welcome, friend

You’ve found 50+ prompts for diving deep into revealing and healing reflection.

Svādhyāya is the ancient yogic philosophy of self-inquiry, curiosity, and study.

Shadow Work is the metaphysical practice of, as I like to put it, coming home to your many selves, or waking up to your many faces. We have conscious & subconscious voices, core beliefs, and versions of ourselves that we hide from or deny.

It is by holding, seeing, and studying our many selves that we heal them each and embrace greater inner unity. This then allows us to be greater conduits for unity (Yuj - Yoke - Yoga) in the world.

Always follow with: “Why?”

Not every response will always get wrapped up in a pretty bow. Be curious. The goal is simply to see what comes up, and be with it.

This is a practice that requires presence and mindfulness. I encourage you to make this a ritual that ends in self-care and gratitude. Pay attention to your body. When in doubt, come back to your breath – your breath is always in the present moment. Ask others for support and believe: You are worthy, you are healing, you are capable, you are resilient, you are divine.

Don’t hesitate to open up the free practices (like meditations!) on Yoke Yoga (@HannahJoslin) if you need help grounding or regulating.
